Job Description
UTA seeks a full-time Call Center Operator in our New York office to support a fast-paced and dynamic office with a high volume of inbound calls. The Call Center Operator will be responsible for fielding and transferring inbound calls to appropriate departments while providing exceptional customer service.
This role is a full-time position with benefits and will pay $22.00 per hour.
What You Will Do
• The operator must handle and direct incoming calls and route them to the correct individual or department within the Agency or voicemail messaging system, if required
• Handle basic questions about the business, including but not limited to hours of operation, directions etc.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Help with the receptionist/front desk coverage as needed
What You Will Need
• 3+ years experience in a phone operating, telecommunications, or customer service role
• Ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with internal and external customers with exceptional telephone etiquette
• Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving excellence
• Self-starter; able to learn new functions quickly and accurately; anticipate departmental needs and take proactive steps to follow through with proposed solutions or alternatives
• Remain calm under pressure and work well with various personality types
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently, but in a fast-paced team environment
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
• Previous experience using the phone software system Five9, but not required
