The HR People Analyst will leverage data analytics to support the Human Resources department and company leadership in making data-driven decisions. This role will focus on analyzing employee data, building data infrastructure, setting reporting standards, and creating actionable insights to improve employee experience, engagement, retention, and performance. This role requires Workday experience, a deep understanding of HR metrics, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and will be reporting to the VP, HR Systems and Operations.
Hybrid 3x a week- (New York)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Positions Contributions:

25% - Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and analytics using Workday and other data sources to track key metrics and trends.
• Analyze HR data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
• Create and present comprehensive and compelling reports and presentations for HR and senior leadership.
• Provide reports on a regular cadence to support the organization's reporting needs.
25% - Data Integrity & Compliance:
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Workday.
• Partner with HR Operations and make recommendations for data enhancements that will facilitate better reporting.
• Deliver reports for financial reporting, government compliance, and facilities as needed.
• Assist with HRIS data integrations and testing.
25% - Data Infrastructure & Reporting Standards:
• Design, build, and maintain a scalable and reliable HR data infrastructure that supports the efficient collection, integration, and analysis of workforce data from multiple sources.
• Develop and ensure consistent reporting standards across the HR function. Create templates, processes, and guidelines to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all workforce reports.
25% - Strategic Insights & Partnerships:
• Partner with HR leadership to identify data-driven opportunities for improving HR programs and policies and provide analytical support that is aligned with the Department's key initiatives and strategy.
• Provide actionable insights on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, turnover and other HR initiatives.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic HR projects and initiatives.
• Facilitate training and support for HR team members on data tools and reporting.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field; and/or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR analytics or a related role, with a strong emphasis on Workday experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain highly confidential information.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00
