We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Manager, HRBP to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner for your client groups, driving HR initiatives to support the organization's goals. The Manager, HRBP will provide thoughtful guidance on improving employee performance, talent management, and fostering an engaging workplace culture.
The Manager HRBP, reports to a Director HRBP, and supports leaders and employees for Hearst Magazines in multiple locations.
Resonsibilities:
Responsibilities Include:
• Build relationships with client groups to be an advisor on talent initiatives and opportunities
• Partner with leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and operational needs
• Own the execution of the on-boarding experience to set employees up for success and serve as a resource for new hires on HR Programs and navigating Hearst Magazines
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and the business to assess talent needs while also supporting internal mobility
• Be a role model leader and a champion of change, building organizational trust and promoting a positive workplace culture, identifying and communicating trends
• Support the Director, HRBP with initiatives for client groups such as developing programs and services to increase employee engagement, retention and job satisfaction
• Work with leaders and managers to ensure Hearst Magazines recruits, retains, and grows a diverse pool of talent while creating an inclusive environment
• Partner with HR team to identify opportunities for efficiancy and consistency in how promotions and other programs and initiatives are approached
• Support and coach leaders and managers in developing their teams and in career pathing
• Support the year-end performance review process for client groups and work in partnership with Director HRBP on talent review, calibration, and succession planning for respective business groups
• Create or update org charts, data, reporting, and presentations as needed
• Oversee change management initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation of organizational transitions
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements
• Manage performance improvement initiatives and employee relations issues, ensuring fairness and consistency, and escalating when needed
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong expertise in functional HR business partner/generalist role, 5+ years experience, with at least 2+ years as a Manager level or HRBP
• Strong business partnering capabilities; ability to create effective and productive work relationships
• Action oriented; demonstrated history of delivery of concrete HR services in a wide range of areas to client groups
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Strong strategic thinking skills
• Flexible and capable of navigating a fast-paced team environment
• Creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrates a high level of accountability for results
• Strong execution and planning skills; the ability to establish work plans and drive and deliver actions against such plans in a concrete and timely fashion
• High level of business acumen
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
The base salary for this role is between $95,000-$105,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
