We are hiring a Production Risk Manager who will join the Amazon Studios Risk Management team and contribute to Amazon Studios' insurance placement, advisement, contract review and claims management for all productions. They will liaise with international and US-based brokers and underwriters, and maintain and strengthen relationships with external producing partners. The position will work closely with internal partners, including Physical Production, Production Finance, Legal, and Post Production teams.

Key job responsibilities
• Interpret insurance policy provisions and provide ongoing support on contractual terms and conditions and application of coverage.
• Gather, analyze, and prepare information for underwriting submission information and applications for insurance policy renewals.
• Evaluate insurance policy quotes and negotiate coverage and pricing for special coverage with insurance brokers, providing recommendations to production teams and manager.
• Review insurance binders, policies, endorsements, audits and invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Review Cast coverage regularly for all assigned productions to ensure full coverage.
• Manage broker relationships in conjunction with Production, Legal and Risk Management teams to ensure adequate servicing and SLA's.
• Collaborate with insurance brokers to manage ongoing production risk, insurance, and services provided by brokers.
• Identify, communicate and champion loss prevention and process improvement opportunities.
• Review, analyze and provide feedback on production contracts including locations, equipment and independent contractors.
• Communicate regularly with production personnel for all ongoing insurance-related needs.
• Assist department in sourcing and utilizing appropriate technology to facilitate service provided to stakeholders.

About the team
The team includes the Head of Production Risk Management based at Amazon Studios headquarters in Culver City, a US-based Risk Manager, a U.K.-based Risk Manager and a Claims Risk Manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of work experience in entertainment insurance
• Knowledge of production health and safety practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
• Experience handling confidential information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with international feature film and television production insurance
• Strong knowledge and experience in all forms of unscripted television (e.g. competition, documentary, music, variety) across all budget levels.
• Knowledge of production health and safety practices
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
