Amazon MGM Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce and acquire content in service of Amazon's Prime Video customers globally, including popular Amazon MGM Original titles such as Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, The Boys, Fallout, and Idea of You, as well as recent theatrical releases Creed III, Red One, and Challengers. The team is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker to join as a Sr. Strategy Manager in Culver City. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the future of Amazon MGM Studios by helping evaluate and execute strategic initiatives and drive key business decisions. This professional should have a strong background in studio strategic analysis, business development, and a deep understanding of the media and entertainment landscape. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.
Key job responsibilities
• Conduct analysis to support strategy documents on theatrical film content investments, slate strategy, business planning, and distribution analysis; monitor slate performance and understand sources of variance.
• Conduct industry research and identify box office trends and opportunities to inform movie investment decisions and slate strategy.
• Support long-term strategic planning for Amazon MGM, including new business models and cross-functional opportunities.
• Author business-driving documents that surface key learnings and provide recommendations for our go-forward content offering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, content, operations, and other Amazon entertainment portfolio teams to drive strategic projects from concept to execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions. Candidates must be highly proficient in Excel.
• Experience leading high-impact projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
• Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
