Job Title: Specialist, Product Data Management - Catalog Ingest
A little bit about our team:
The Product Data Management (PDM) team is part of Global Operations. Our team manages metadata capture and maintenance within WMG's internal label copy applications. We support local and global label affiliates, third-party distribution deals, catalog acquisitions, and various initiatives across WMG. PDM manages extensive training and standards documentation for our user community, provides robust compliance monitoring and audit reviews to ensure our metadata meets the needs of our stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Neighbouring Rights Societies, Sales Reporting & Analytics, and Royalty & Finance departments. PDM also handles bulk metadata ingestions for catalog acquisitions and distribution deals, and maintains data integrity through ongoing cleanup efforts.
Your role:
Be at the forefront of ensuring Warner Music Group leads the industry in metadata excellence. Analyze and onboard bulk catalog metadata, ensuring it meets WMG and industry standards. Collaborate with the PDM Catalog Ingest team and other departments to refine and enhance our overall processes.
Here you'll get to:
• You will enter and maintain product and asset data for incoming catalogs, ensuring adherence to WMG standards.
• You will manage the full catalog onboarding process, from initial metadata review and refinement to final adjustments within the label copy system.
• You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve metadata issues.
• You will effectively communicate WMG standards and processes to labels, ensuring high-quality data transfers.
• You will contribute to ongoing PDM projects and maintain team documentation.
• You will analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
• You will stay informed about industry best practices and emerging metadata trends.
• You will participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve data management across the organization.
About you:
• You have a proven ability to deliver consistent, high-quality metadata in a fast-paced music environment.
• You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• You have strong multitasking and time management skills, and you can prioritize effectively.
• You have meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• You enjoy taking ownership of your work and thrive both independently and collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals.
We'd love it if you also had:
• 1 year of metadata experience in the music industry
• Familiarity with industry metadata standards
• Experience working with large data sets, spreadsheets and data manipulation tools
• Project management experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
