Job Title: Director, Creative Sync
A little bit about our team:
The sync team is a collaborative group of creatives who are responsible for placing Warner Chappell music across all media types, with a primary focus on TV and film. We work together and independently to deliver unique sync opportunities and generate revenue.
Your role:
We're looking for a Director who's passionate about music and dedicated to exploring WCM's vast catalog while still focusing on our frontline signings/emerging artists.
Here you'll get to:
• Meet and work with songwriters/producers/composers/artists and their management teams to gain a true understanding of their vision and music to best prepare you for pitching their music as well as keeping them informed on upcoming video game, sports, promo, trailer, film and TV projects or opportunities
• Actively pitch and market songwriters, producers and publishing catalog to the gaming, sports programming, film and tv communities
• Establish, grow and maintain effective relationships with sync partners (music supervisors, sports licensing agents, gaming companies, TV and film studios, trailer houses)
• Pitch music to sports broadcast networks for TV promos, general programming, and social media campaigns
• Facilitate songwriting sessions to create original music for pitching
• Create playlists by category, lyrical themes, genre and other criteria to expedite music searches
• Build and maintain close relationships with all strata of publishing employees with a special emphasis on Creative Services and A&R departments.
• Attend meetings with A&R teams for new signing support, talent relations and sync updates
• Participate in weekly WC sync creative meetings, giving ideas on how we as a team can develop, grow, and promote our songwriters and copyrights within the sync world
• Collaborate with international teams and affiliates to create marketing strategies for new releases
• Participate in discussions around events and showcases to promote Warner Chappell writers to the sync community
• Closely monitor trends in the sync ecosystem
• Willingness to attend after-hours events and occasionally travel
• Represent WCM at concerts, showcases, listening parties, mixers, and other events
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in music business, business administration, or a related field preferred
• At least seven (7) years of experience in synchronization in music publishing or advertising
• Knowledge of music publishing, relevant licensing terminology, sync market dynamics and trends
• Established relationships with key partners in the sync market specifically video game companies and sports programming
• Deep knowledge of music history, visual media trends and pop culture
• Genuine interest in sync and visual media, and you watch film and television regularly
• Sincere love for music across all genres, an active music listener and concertgoer
We'd love it if you also had:
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities and styles
• Ability to work in fast paced work environment requires strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and a high attention to detail
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of all standard computer programs (PC experience: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet)
• Ability to conduct deep level research
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills

Effective October 1st, this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range
$100,000-$110,000/year
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
