Your New Role

The Manager of Legal Billing will manage and supervise members of the legal billing team to ensure timely and accurate processing of legal invoices. The manager will monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement and serve as a point of contact for resolving billing issues and inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Leading the transition from eCounsel to CounselLink, the Manager will ensure a smooth and efficient migration process. This includes collaborating with the vendor, IT, legal, and finance departments to design and implement the migration plan. The manager will conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the new system. Additionally, they will monitor and report on the progress of the migration, addressing any challenges and making necessary adjustments.

The Manager will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for the eBilling consolidation effort. They will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of project milestones. Conducting regular project status meetings and providing updates to senior management will be crucial, as will preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

This manager will also have oversight of the Techwood Records Center and the respective personnel.

Your Role Accountabilities

Lead eBilling Consolidation Efforts
• Lead the transition from eCounsel to CounselLink, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration process
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and finance departments to design and implement the migration plan
• Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the new system
• Monitor and report on the progress of the migration, addressing any challenges and making adjustments as needed
Oversight of Legal Billing
• Responsible for invoice management, analyzing billing data and trends to provide insights
• Generate regular reports on billing performance, outstanding invoices, and present findings to legal operations leadership
• Work closely with the team to troubleshoot obstacles and serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with other departments such as finance, legal leadership, and administrative teams to align billing practices with overall business objectives
Oversight of Legal Records Center Operation and Reporting
• Personnel management of Records Centers, controls and audits, leads file conversion efforts, ownership of file reduction and compliance with retention schedule

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience with eBilling systems, preferably with eCounsel and CounselLink
• Demonstrated success in leading system migrations or similar large-scale projects
• BA/BS degree is preferred
• Strong knowledge of legal billing practices and procedures
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency in using eBilling software and other relevant financial systems
• Demonstrates critical thinking strong problem-solving skills – navigates effectively through difficult issues, builds required consensus to drive business needs and results
• High results orientation and able to effectively juggle and prioritize many competing demands – high tolerance to effectively manage change
• An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for working in a dynamic environment
• Strong work ethic and proven ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Exceptional communication, analytical and writing skills
• Ability and desire to work both autonomously but also collaboratively

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $74,760.00 - $138,840.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $74,760 to $138,840 Per Year ($ USD)
