Legal Affairs Coordinator
Your Role Accountabilities
• Generates draft agreements, including but not limited to, rights and services agreements for talent (writers, artists, consultants), NDAs, name and likeness releases, copyright assignments, unsolicited submission responses, custom publishing agreements, and other miscellaneous documents.
• Performs chain of title research, including confirming character first appearances, identities of creators, locating pertinent copyright registrations and applicable talent agreements, and generating chain of title reports and special thanks lists.
• Maintains and manages the Legal Department's records and document management system (eDocs), including scanning and entering signed agreements and other documents in eDocs, adding to the underlying validation tables (Property, Contracting Party, Talent Name, Title, etc.) as needed, deleting and maintaining a record of deleted documents, approving new users, and making sure all users' level of access is appropriate to their business needs.
• Prepares, sends, and manages documents being sent for electronic signature through Adobe Sign.
• Updates and maintains various reports for use throughout the company, including key date reports and reversion reports.
• Tracks status of contracts and requests and drafts proposed responses to comments and changes proposed by business units and outside parties.
• Manages paperwork and communications with estates and heirs of talent.
• Serves as back-up for pre-publication review of comics and various publicity materials for standards and practices, legal, and other concerns as needed.
• Other projects/duties as assigned and general support for Legal Department.
Qualifications & Experience
• 2+ years working in a legal or contracts department;
• Experience in a brand management environment a plus;
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required .
• Paralegal experience, particularly intellectual property and contract preparation experience a plus.
• Proofreading and grammar experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook or MAC equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prioritization and follow-up skills – ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $47,466.00 - $88,150.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
