Job Description
The People & Culture Coordinator is a vital part of Smith Entertainment Group's People & Culture team. This role will support Utah Jazz, Delta Center, and Utah Hockey Club employees. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized person who will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the team. This role will assist the department with scheduling interviews, screening candidates, working with new employees to complete the onboarding process, coordinating P&C projects, and general administrative tasks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Guide new hires through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
• Schedule interviews and manage calendars for hiring managers and recruiters.
• Schedule and organize materials for new hire orientations.
• Handle day-to-day HR administrative duties such as scanning files, printing badges, and scheduling meetings.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, efficiently managing and escalating issues as needed
• Answer employee questions and communicate concerns and/or issues to the appropriate member of the team
• Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed
• Coordinate and schedule HR-related meetings, team lunches, and training sessions
• Update our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company intranet
• Stay current on HR trends and employment law updates by attending seminars, reading professional publications, growing your network, and participating in professional associations
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of employee files in the G-Drive and HRIS
• Work with recruiters to ensure new hires receive a badge and gift on their first day
• Coordinate with recruiters to ensure new hires receive badges and welcome gifts on their first day.
• Support HR Generalists with ordering company swag for new hire gifts and recruiting events
• Responsible for billing and expense reports for the People & Culture department
• Support the building of a diverse culture that enriches the lives of our employees, customers, partners, and communities
• Protect the reputation of the company

• Accept other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 - 2 years of administrative or support experience
• 1 - 2 years of recruiting/HR experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Proficiency in computer software applications such as Google Suite
• Ability to quickly learn human resource information systems and similar computer applications
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
• The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
