Job Description
The Director of Manufacturing Operations manages the UMG production processes to successfully define and create release plans for the Procurement team to execute. The Director will collaborate closely with the Procurement, OTC, Manufacturing Suppliers, Warehousing and Label teams to ensure the successful launch of physical releases.

How You'll CREATE:

Release Scheduling & Management of Products
• Develop, publish, and maintain a production schedule for all UMG New Releases
• Publish a 10-week high level Capacity plan by vendor.
• Monitors release schedules and tracks asset delivery by release plan, replanning & updating labels when changes are required to the schedules, quantifying impact to delivery and/or costs.
• Responsible for creation of High Security release planning timelines/schedules to support the early phases of the confidential release planning, including product capabilities, support and vendor assignment based on requested specifications.
• Manages the overall priorities for the Procurement team when load balancing is required.

Day to Day Operational Responsibilities:
• Engage with manufacturing suppliers to determine product allocation is in line with contractual plans and supplier capabilities.
• Responsible for ensuring all releases are scheduled with suppliers to meet requested product delivery date into the Warehouse.
• Actively works with Release Management & Catalogue Inventory teams when release plans require escalation due to unforeseen changes from the label or supplier workability. Actively works with Release Management to resolve any quality issues or delays during the manufacturing process.
• Creates manufacturing shipment plans into the warehouse by day when required to keep releases on time and on schedule.
• Escalates any release exceptions that cannot be resolved by the core team.

Trouble Shooting and Issue Resolution:
• Provides exception management to fast-track schedules in production when required.
• Collaborates with team members and suppliers to develop decision-support tools when planning releases and establishing timelines.
• Works with Procurement, Inventory, Catalogue and OTC teams on vendor issues that need resolution.

Analysis and Reporting:
• Reports on data collected from labels and suppliers regarding release schedules, plans and execution.
• Accuracy of 10-week production schedule by supplier.
• Vendor, Label and Operations report cards for milestone delivery as established with the release schedules.
• On time delivery of assets
• On time delivery of BOM's
• Delivery of asset, BOM and artwork revisions
• On time delivery of supplier samples & tests as required
• On time delivery of raw material and finished goods

Improvement Projects
• Collaborate with team members across UMG and Supplier organizations to identify and drive initiatives to improve current processes, procedures, and methodologies to improve effectiveness, efficiency and reduce cost.
• Works with Tech teams and Business Analysts to implement system enabled process enhancements.
• Works with Procurement teams, Labels and Suppliers to implement process improvements or address product failures requiring corrective actions.
• Responsible for improving and enhancing processes between S4, SPW, Milestone, Supplier Portal, ECC
• Streamlining of workflows between labels, procurement, inventory management and OTC.

• Solid understanding of Production Planning & Production Scheduling including manufacturing, logistics, supplier management, milestone management
• Hands-on experience in Production Scheduling with major suppliers and formats

Experience:
• Demonstrated solid proficiency across capacity planning and production scheduling.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with analytic and reporting tools for product planning, milestone management, production scheduling.
• 3 years' plus in manufacturing scheduling environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Logistics, or Transportation. Related experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
