Job Description
UTA is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the corporate Accounts Payable team in Los Angeles. The Senior AP Specialist will be responsible for coding and processing invoices and expense reports for all divisions at UTA.
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do:
• Review all invoices and payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
• Code and enter invoices into accounting system
• Process check requests and generate check runs/EFT payments
• Responsible for vendor set-up, 1099/W9 maintenance, and year-end processing
• Ensure internal policies and approvals are followed
• Respond to all vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements; research and correct discrepancies
• Maintain accurate files with thorough documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Perform other special projects as needed
• Assist in administering UTA's credit card program
• Audit and process credit card bills
• Review/process/research employee expense reports in Concur
What You Will Need:
• At least 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent field preferred
• Must have strong work ethics
• Must be well organized and a self-starter
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook; Tipalti, NetSuite and Concur experience a plus
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong research, problem solving, and resolution skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Adept at using and implementing new technology and applications
• Adept at working in a paperless environment, including use of scanners and OCR technology
• Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
