Job Description
UTA is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Accounts Payable to manage and oversee the US accounts payable (AP) department. This role is located in Beverly Hills, CA and will report to the Director, Accounting with partnership and close collaboration with all areas of the business.
The salary range for this role is $145,000 to $165,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What you will Do
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP team
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and career growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve processes
• Drive automation initiatives to optimize invoice processing and payment workflows
• Implement and maintain best practices in AP operations
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure timely and accurate internal management reporting related to AP activities
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, accounting standards and relevant regulations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues
• Negotiate favorable payment terms and agreements with suppliers as requested
• Responsible for oversight of ensuring accurate invoice and expense report GL coding for all entities
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all AP related payments
• Develop thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
• Implement and ensure proper segregation of duties and controls are designed and operating effectively
What you will Need
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 10+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a large organization with management experience
• Must be proficient with systems: Concur, Tipalti, All MS Suite, advanced Excel (V-Lookups & pivot tables), Workday and NetSuite preferred
• Must have exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills to work well with all members of the organization and especially with C-Suite Executives
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment and lead a team
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment with ability to prioritize urgent requests
• Must be able to efficiently extract data and generate reports
