Job Description

UTA seeks a Legal Affairs Associate based in our Los Angeles office to primarily support UTA's Creator groups including our Entertainment Marketing department. The role will report into the Director, Corporate Counsel.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Do
• Negotiate advertising and social media marketing agreements which includes independently preparing, reviewing and negotiating agreements with content creators, ad agencies and other social media marketing service entities from inception to completion
• Interface with UTA agents and advertising and entertainment marketing executives and assistants on deal memos and deal terms and queries regarding creator agreements, insertion orders and the International Advertising Bureau (IAB)standard terms and conditions
• Work effectively with people at many different levels (including agents, e.g., senior executives, attorneys, business affairs executives, talent managers and other agency clients, attorneys)
• Provide support for commercial transactions / contracts for other UTA divisions and matters on an as-needed basis

What You Will Need
• 3+ years experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating entertainment and/or related services agreements
• Bachelor's degree required
• J.D. required
• Previous experience within an advertising agency, or experience with advertising agreements, talent/creator services agreements, insertion orders and riders to the IAB and music license agreements are strongly preferred
• General business knowledge and interest in the social media marketing and entertainment business
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate in a timely manner, meeting targeted timeframes for moving contracts through to signature, with a careful attention to detail in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with critical attention to detail
• Employs a problem-solving approach
