The Role and What You'll Do:
The business development coordinator is responsible for supporting the UFC's commercial activities in the Canadian marketplace. This job includes the planning and delivering of marketing campaigns, contributions to media sales activities, financial and market analysis, executing fight week activations and assisting with the day-to-day management of Pay Per View partners and TV broadcasters.
This position will require someone who is able to be both analytical and creative, who can meaningfully contribute to a team environment, has reporting and presentation building expertise, and who demonstrates the ability to establish long-lasting professional relationships.
• Manages commercial PPV activities, including overseeing sales agency relationships and business strategy, pushing sales performance and marketing, ensuring alignment with UFC brand guidelines and effectively distributing assets to key partners.
• Handles issues management with commercial providers, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
• Tracks and compiles key UFC Canada statistics, providing insightful analysis and financial modelling to inform Canadian business strategies.
• Creates and maintains presentation decks for partner meetings, sponsorship pitches, and strategic planning, ensuring all content is current and relevant, particularly for upcoming events and initiatives.
• Supports sponsorship efforts, working closely with the sponsorship team to keep them informed on Canadian events and providing insights into potential sponsors.
• Contribute to event development by researching Canadian grant opportunities, completing grant applications, tracking deliverables, and ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with grant requirements.
• Works across grassroots initiatives.
• Monitors Canadian Local Event Promotion (LEP) efforts, ensuring optimal execution and tracking of all associated activities.
• Supports Canadian ''Fight Week'' activations, contributing to event preparations and coordinating promotional efforts.
• Provides regular reporting on commercial activities, analyzes data, and compiles updates for internal stakeholders and the Executive team to track performance and optimize strategies.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving business needs.

You Have These:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in business development and/or marketing
• Experience managing agencies and business partners
• Experience in marketing a unique product that requires educating the customer.
• General knowledge of principles of effective communications and mass media, publicity, advertising, policies, community relations, and organization structure as they relate to entertainment and sports events.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups, including members of the executive team.
• Ability to cultivate and establish effective relationships with all levels of clients from corporate level to individual bar owner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information.
• Thorough understanding of marketing and business development principles, and the ability to think ''outside of the box''.
• Desire and ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
