The Role and What You'll Do:
UFC's Toronto, Canada office has a rare and unique opportunity for a Marketing and Brand Manager to join the team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing the marketing direction of UFC initiatives for Canada.
This position will primarily support various content marketing efforts, while also extending to support multiple departments to develop initiatives that enhance the brand and business outcome across Canada.
This is a role to join the team in the Toronto, Canada office.
• Drive UFC marketing and brand activities, ensuring alignment with company vision and strategy. As strategic changes evolve, ensures consistent market execution is developed and maintained.
• Maintain brand integrity and compliance across product lines, marketing materials and all other internal and external communications as they pertain to the UFC brand.
• Direct the development of media buying and planning to promote UFC content and create ticket demand for UFC live events held in Canada.
• Ensure that content partners have all necessary marketing materials and work with them to create materials compliant with UFC brand guidelines.
• Work to identify possible events in market for a UFC Fan Experience, in collaboration with global brand team, pulling together location plans and assisting with execution on the ground.
• Lead marketing of UFC Fight Pass in Canada.
• Lead organic marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, CRM and digital advertising, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
• Regularly track results and prepare monthly reports for circulation to the Executive team.
• Manage relationship with and the performance of territorial advertising and marketing agencies.
• Manage marketing budgets for events and campaigns, ensuring effective resource allocation and spend tracking.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as content, social/digital, sponsorship sales, creative, product teams, public relations, research and operations to execute specific marketing initiatives.
• Set and track brand health metrics and drives the development of brand tracking across products.
• Lead identification and execution of market research to support marketing and brand plans.
• Provide advice and counsel to senior business leaders about strategic opportunities to grow the UFC brand and our financial results.
• Other tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
You Have These:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or other related area.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing and or sports marketing.
• Demonstrated strength in marketing competencies with success in content/event marketing and brand positioning/development.
• Proven ability to develop and implement both strategic and tactical initiatives. Ability to focus on long-term and short-term needs simultaneously.
• Demonstrated leadership in project management and brand management. Ability to take creative ideas and ground them in the brand's strategy and back them up with strong business cases on consumer and customer research.
• Teamwork, project management skills and creativity a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and creative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, social media applications.
