Founded in 1996, Ubisoft Annecy has developed many sagas, especially on Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed®, while focusing on multiplayer online and social aspects, and also on concrete game mandates such as Tom Clancy's: The Division 2® and Ghost Recon Wildlands. We are now proud to have developed our own IP, Steep and more recently Riders Republic!
On top of our AAA production, we are working on innovation with a technological expertise hub around the Snowdrop engine pipeline, and Technology Group in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal.

Job Description
In collaboration with all the directors of the project and the Annecy studio, as Game Director, you will be responsible for developing the overall vision of a game taking into account market, licensing and production constraints.
You will significantly impact all features, setting a high-level direction that influences the work of all game designers on the project, and consequently, most other departments by extension.
You ensure that the creative vision is translated into the game by systems and player experience, by oversee the quality, variety and balance of the game and the overall experience by guiding the entire production of the game.
Your main responsabilities will be:
• Under the responsibility of the Creative Director, establish the vision of the game, and the scope of the game in collaboration with the Producer, Creative Director and other project directors;
• Ensure that the game design is conformed to the vision set and send the game design to the other directors in their respective fields (programming, art direction);
• Validate steadily the consistency and quality of the game and define design methods appropriate to the project;
• Supervise the work of the Design teams under your management
• In conjunction with the Producer, determine priorities for the production according to the scope of the project;
• Being the spokesperson for the vision of the game within the team, with Ubisoft management, and with the press during events or official external communications;
• In the event of a multi-studio project, to ensure the overall coherence of the game and relay the game vision to everybody;
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, working closely with the editorial team to ensure the project's vision aligns with business needs.

Qualifications
What you bring to the team:
• Have contributed and delivered, as Game Director, on successful AAA franchises.
• In-depth knowledge of the video game market and industry
• Strong ability to integrate, communicate and orient a vision (written and oral) in both French and English
• Exercise autonomy in making high-level decisions that will impact all lower levels.
• Strong managerial skills to ensure respectful and precise communication and organization within teams.
• In-depth understanding of general game design processes
• Listen to players and market trends
• Structured, sensitive to the coherence of the content produced and a source of proposals
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Able to adapt to changes, you are results-oriented
• Perfectly comfortable in English and know how to adapt to a multicultural environment
