Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Financial Analyst for Worldwide Marketing Finance and Distribution are the creation, monitoring and reporting of theatrical marketing budgets, in order to accurately report ultimate spend to corporate finance for overall company financials. The individual should be proactive in accomplishing tasks and finding ways to improve current workflow. A desire to work efficiently, respond promptly to inquiries, and foster working relationships across the Marketing Department is crucial for this role. Given that the team is so small, this is a key role with high priority.

Responsibilities:
• Provides weekly reports to senior management of Marketing with the status of all current estimated budgets.
• Reviews weekly title costs of current budgets vs. actuals. Adjusts the film title budgets, if necessary.
• Ensures the preparation of purchase orders by the Marketing Group so that financial commitments are reflected timely.
• Media Weekly Flowcharts
• Spent/Committed Weekly Reports
• BRE Weekly Report
• Weekly Cost Load supervision and support
• Staff Allocations
• Budget True Up
• SAP Journal preparation
• Charge Backs approvals (Production and Overhead)
• Domestic Home Entertainment Marketing Financial Reporting Support
• Canada Financial Reporting Support
• Participation and Compliance Audit support
• Final Picture Budget Reconciliation
• Sensitivities review and updates to Pictures
• Canada Financial Reporting Support
• Performs other special projects for the division

Requirements:
• Experience with finance support in Media and/or Entertainment
• Experience with financial systems, including SAP, Apollo and S&C (Sony specific)
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related skills preferred
• Strong academic credentials from an esteemed university e.g., min GPA 3.2 preferred
• Taken specialized courses in financial accounting, modelling, quantitative reasoning and international finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to effectively use standard document creation and management programs like Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Good writing skills;

The anticipated base salary for this position is $66,400 - $83,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
