This role presents an exciting opportunity to join the music industry and gain knowledge about how our music reaches listeners around the world. As a Legal Assistant in this department, you will work at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, amplifying the vision and voices of our artists across a broad range of platforms and media.
What you'll do:
• Maintain calendars, arrange meetings, receive and place phone calls and other correspondence, coordinate scheduling and assist communication with other departments within Sony Music
• Proactively multitask, manage priorities, resolve conflicts and meet timelines for multiple projects among four lawyers
• Manage and shepherd internal process for approving, executing and filing contracts, often involving senior executives
• Composition of basic business correspondence; proofreading and editing of documents
• Maintain and update working/desk files for attorneys
• Backup and assist the legal assistant for the EVP of the group as needed
• Routine administrative matters, such as prepare expense reports and make travel arrangements
Who you are:
• You have expert proficiency with Word and Outlook and general proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
• You are available to work occasional overtime
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You have exceptional organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• You have a professional and respectful demeanor, maturity and attitude
