Team Member (Employee) Relations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Team Member Relations Manager. The Team Member Relations Manager will support the day to day operations of the Suns/Mercury and/or Arena Staff. This position will oversee the compliance of company employment policies and practices with relevant employment regulations and support processes, and systems to manage and resolve complaints. This role will work with managers, P&C, Legal, Security and Guest Services.
What Will You Do:
• Handles employee relations issues including determining disciplinary action up to and including termination
• Develop and implement compliance programs, policies and processes throughout the organization
• Manages the exit process including conducting exit interviews and outplacement
• Files EEO-1 report annually, new hire reporting monthly and maintains other records, reports and logs pertaining to HR compliance, including Workers' Compensation
• Keep current on legal requirements and legislation as related to Human Resources
• Ensure legal compliance for all facility needs and locations
• Update Employee Handbook and policies as needed
• Collaborates and coaches manager/directors on key employee related issues and performance management topics
• Identify and drive philosophies and programs to foster constructive employee relations and ensure the organizations' approach to its employees is fair, respectful and consistent
• Reduce risks by developing programs, policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions
• Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations
• Oversee company-wide application of workplace policies and procedures
What We Need From Our Team Member Experience Manager:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures, including legal compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Capable of understanding and working with in sensitive and confidential data and circumstances
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels, including part-time, full-time, management and executive positions
• Ability to represent the organization with internal and external customers/employees
• Demonstrates a flexible but consistent manner in handling employee relations issues while keeping legal considerations in mind
• Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships and problem solve with employees and management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience/ Education Requirements:
• Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related field
• Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee and labor relations
• in-depth knowledge and application of federal, state and local labor and employment law and regulations
• Demonstrable experience in developing and executing programs that measurably impact positive employee relations
• Minimum of 5 years human resources or Guest Relations experience; 3 years at an exempt level required.
• Business partnership with organizational leaders
