We are seeking a Senior Analyst to assist our growing Risk Management team. In this role, you will support our Global Corporate and Production Casualty Claims, including workers' compensation, return to work, auto liability, and general liability claims.
This role reports to a Senior Manager within Risk Management and joins a technical risk team responsible for managing and funding Netflix's insured and self-insured claims. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player eager to ''roll up their sleeves'' and do hands-on work. They possess the ability to quickly build trust and effectively manage risk by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Claims Management
• Manage all Workers' compensation and Auto/GL claims from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Approve reserves and settlements within designated authority levels, escalating high-risk cases to the Senior Manager as necessary.
• Review and analyze claims for delays, denials, and other potential issues, providing guidance on resolutions.
• Oversee and monitor the TPA and managed care vendor activities, including compliance with claim management guidelines, claim reviews, reserve reconciliations, claim audits, and other key claims management roles.
• Manage Risk Management team's involvement with litigated claims and partners with relevant functions to drive litigation strategy.
Return to Work (RTW) Program Support
• Drives and manages RTW within assigned claims. Supports the management and success of the RTW program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and assisting injured employees in their transition back to work.
• Collaborates with HR, Safety, and Legal teams to develop and implement effective RTW strategies and policies.
• Manages return to work for assigned claims, communicates work restrictions, and coordinates modified duty to reduce claims costs.
Compliance Oversight
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to WC and Auto/GL claims, including OSHA requirements.
• Identify potential compliance risks associated with claims and RTW, recommending corrective actions to mitigate them.
Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze claims data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement in the claims management process.
• Creates comprehensive reports on claims performance, including RTW success rates, compliance issues, and overall claims costs.
• Utilize and establish analytics, metrics, and benchmarking through multiple sources to evaluate loss trends and cost of risk to prioritize resources. Develops simple, intuitive, and actionable metrics aligned with business priorities.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
• Facilitate communication between departments to streamline claims management processes and RTW initiatives.
• Develop strong partnerships and collaborates closely with internal Netflix teams, productions, and external partners (TPAs, brokers, physicians, vendors, and payroll companies).
• Provide guidance and support for loss prevention matters to ensure an open, proactive, and effective loss prevention culture.
• Support operational needs, including production kickoff meetings and other training as needed.
• Liaise (as appropriate) between Productions and TPAs.
• Maintain flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as needed.
• Present to cross-functional partners on an ongoing basis for updates to program, training etc.
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Risk Management or other similar field.
• 10 years of experience managing workers' compensation, auto, and general liability claims.
• Experience handling return to work and the associated interactive process.
• Demonstrated knowledge of auto liability and workers' compensation laws.
• CA Self-insured workers compensation and other certifications / licenses preferred (WCCA, WCCP, etc.).
• Hands-on, results-driven, with strong project management skills.
• Highly analytical, with the ability to use data to drive desired results and support intelligent risk-taking.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing with employees and outside partners, recognizing and appropriately responding to others' perspectives.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change where appropriate. Thrives on change, pace, action, and accountability combined with an ability to adjust to changing priorities.
• Ability to support and contribute to a high-performing team. Demonstrated high level of collaboration within a claims team and broader cross-functional partners.

Additional preferred experience
• Experience managing claims within a corporate risk function.
• Human Resource experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
• Proficient in various RMIS systems e.g: Origami.
• Proficient in G Suite and Microsoft Office, excel.
• Critical and integrative thinker.
• High level of organization, and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000-$240,000.
