Reporting Into: SVP of Concerts and Touring

About Us:

Live Nation Australasia is look for an established Comedy Promoter with an extensive understanding of the comedy touring landscape. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of procuring, promoting, and delivering an array of comedy, podcast, and speaker events that captivate audiences across Australasia.

What You'll Do:
• You will have at least 3-5 years of comedy touring experience; you'll leverage your industry insights to spot and target both existing and potential touring prospects within the comedy genre. Your eye for market trends will be crucial in identifying new touring brands and enhancing our relationships with agents.
• You'll oversee all facets of secured comedy tour productions, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure that every aspect-from idea development and venue selection to marketing strategies-meets our Live Nation's standards for quality and stays within budget. Your organisational skills will help you balance multiple projects and timelines.
• Working in tandem with our Marketing, Sponsorship, and Ticketing teams, you'll craft marketing plans and explore new and exciting VIP experiences. Your negotiation skills will come into play as you secure favourable commercial arrangements and find ways to maximise revenue streams through premium ticket sales and sponsorship opportunities.
• You'll play an important role in shaping our long-term strategy for growing the comedy genre within the Live Nation Australasia business. Your ability to continually evaluate new opportunities and trends will ensure we stay ahead in this competitive market.
• Regularly providing updates and forecasts to the SVP of Concerts & Touring, you'll ensure that Live Nation Australasia's initiatives align with broader business goals while maintaining transparency and accountability.

Who You Are:
• You have a strong background in comedy promotion and have built an extensive network within the industry. Your connections will be instrumental in securing new tours and enhancing our current offerings. This is not an entry level role or for anyone without experience as a comedy promotor.
• You thrive in high-pressure situations and excel in navigating tricky scenarios, such as artist cancellations. Your calm demeanour and problem-solving skills will help keep projects on track.
• Your collaboration and communication skills make you a great team member who can work across various departments and time zones, developing a cooperative spirit that drives success.
