Job Title: Technical Solutions Manager
Job Summary: This role reports to the Director – Business Systems, and has responsibility for evaluating, delivering, and maintaining application solutions across all sales and marketing functions. There will be a focus on configuration, maintenance, support, and training of vendor cloud / service-based platforms. This individual will work directly with business owners to define requirements, as well as perform hands-on implementation work and maintain systems to support business processes.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Work with vendor partners, internal resources, and key business stakeholders to develop, configure and maintain key sales and marketing platforms. These platforms include CRM, lead ''warming'' platforms such as Conversica, and marketing engagement platforms, and support delivery of over $40MM of ticketing revenue.
• Facilitate the expanded use of CRM across the organization, including ticket sales, corporate partnership, and community impact.
• Develop and deliver information and insights into sales and marketing regarding operational usage of platforms and campaign performance.
• Collaborate with the Major League Baseball product and technology teams to maximize the effective club use of MLB fan facing marketing platforms to communicate to almost 7MM Royals fans.
• Manage end user environment and support definition and activation of audiences from the Royals customer data platform to all sales and marketing channels.
• Train and support key users of all sales and marketing systems, maintain an ongoing dialogue regarding additional value-added capabilities of existing systems.
• Work closely with club Technology Operations and Infrastructure personnel to provide appropriate security and access controls for all sales and marketing platforms.
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• 2+ years of implementing and managing systems across sales and marketing functions.
• Demonstrated experience implementing CRM solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Salesforce, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics CRM; activating sales and marketing campaigns across multiple platforms; and experience with business user support, training and maximizing value derived from platform investments.
• Extensive experience with and focus on cloud-based solutions.
• Strong business acumen and consultative skills, working directly with key business owners and other stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of business processes and deliver functional solutions that support accomplishing business objectives.
• Experience evaluating and managing vendor partners, discussing options, and making recommendations to internal decision makers.
• Hands on application configuration experience, development of system documentation experience and end user training and support experience
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
