Temporary Coordinator, Sports Experiences
The Role and What You'll Do:
Responsible for coordinating hotel reservations on large-volume sporting events in our reservation system, for example 100 soccer teams traveling for a weekend event. The Coordinator will manage hotel inventory daily and will require strong data management skills. The Coordinator will communicate directly with customers making hotel reservations and manage all of the last-minute changes to reservations leading into an event. This is a fast-paced, computer-based role to support our team during one of our busiest times of year. The Coordinator will need to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, consistently meet deadlines and ensure customers have exceptional experiences. • Ensure all customers attending events are provided exceptional customer service
• Optimize sales and maintain strong hotel relationships in markets
• Create event and hotel builds in proprietary systems
• Manage hotel inventory daily across markets for city-wide events
• Help travelers with their reservations and resolve any guest related issues
• Manage all last-minute changes leading into events
• Contract and negotiate hotel contracts with properties according to event specifics
• Work with marketing department to create and distribute consistent event-related communications
• Compile and maintain event summary information, track historic sales and hotel reporting
• Gain knowledge of all events to provide customer support for inbound calls, including scheduled phone hours
• Audit hotel rooming lists to ensure accuracy of reservations
• Support accounting with reconciliation and collection process
You Have These
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1+ years in the sports, travel and/or hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; in particular Excel and Outlook.
• Produce accurate work, event when under pressure, checks the accuracy of information before using or passing on to others.
