Job Description

The WME Business Affairs Department supports the agents at WME by utilizing the law, contracts and business judgment to help agents make the best deals for their clients. We also manage the contractual relationships between the company's clients and buyers, and advise company executives on effectively balancing business and legal risks.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Advising agents on acceptable deal terms, considering factors such as type of publication, market and precedent
• Negotiating, drafting and reviewing publishing agreements and other licenses for foreign language publication and subsidiary rights
• Managing, tracking and processing permissions requests, including analyzing contracts for status of rights, negotiating clearance fees, and issuing licenses
• Fostering positive long-term relationships with WME clients, agents, sub-agents and buyers

Qualifications
• Outstanding organizational and drafting skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enable interaction with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced, time-pressured business environment
• Proactive and accountable; creative analytical thinking and problem-solving skills a must
• Upbeat temperament, dynamic personality and highly team-oriented approach to work and ability to work independently and autonomously
• Strong work ethic
• Experience at a literary agency, publisher, media company or law firm a plus

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$58,500 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$75,000 annually
