OVERVIEW
The Global Health Office (GHO) Health and Safety Specialist supports EA's global workplaces and employees in delivery of health programs. This is an exciting role where you will lead the application and assurance of health and safety practices for EA, with a focus on our EA Romania (EARO) workplace. You will partner in the development of the company-wide health policies, standards and processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and directives. You will support diverse teams through customer service, guidance, and training. You will be full-time, reporting to the Director of the Global Health Office.
SUMMARY
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Specialist to join us. The Global Health Office (GHO) Health & Safety Specialist will maintain a safe and healthy work environment, overseeing safety programs, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of health and safety among our teams.
Responsibilities
Risk and Hazard Management
• Find and review workplace hazards and risks.
• Create, monitor, and update safety plans, including fire risk assessments.
• Train workers on emergency action plans and improve HSE awareness.
• Regularly check safety systems, equipment, alarms, ventilation, and first aid kits.
Documentation, Compliance, and Reporting
• Keep safety documents, training materials, and inspection records.
• Check safety systems, inspect workplaces, and report issues.
• Ensure all health, safety, and environmental rules are followed.
Training and Coordination
• Create and run training programs for safety and emergencies.
• Organize and document emergency drills.
• Work with workers, outside services, and health professionals on safety measures.
• Represent the company during inspections and on the Health and Safety Committee.
Additional Responsibilities
• Perform additional duties as required by Law 319/2006 and other safety regulations.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a pertinent field.
Training:
• Course in occupational safety and health, with at least 80 hours of content as specified in Annex No. 6, point (a). B.
• Postgraduate course in occupational safety and health of at least 180 hours.
Certification:
• Diploma and certificates of completion for the above courses.
Desired Qualifications
• Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification, and First Aid/CPR certification are desirable.
• 2 or more years of experience in health and safety, preferably within multinational companies.
• Proficiency in English language and written communication
