Job Description
The Corporate Communications team, which sits within the Brand, Communication, and Impact Team, delivers purpose-driven narratives, stories, experiences, and thought leadership spanning our games, studios, and company to build trust, loyalty, and meaningful action with our diverse audiences. A list of specific responsibilities and qualifications for this role can be found below.

The Communications Manager reports to the Senior Manager, Executive Communications. You will write compelling and resonant stories that communicate our brand priorities. You possess curiosity, proactivity, writing acumen, and an ability to create thoughtful narratives from several sources within the company. You will operate as an internally focused journalist working with partners across different teams. You will rely on collaboration to build in-depth storylines that grow our audience and advance storytelling around our brand values and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Writing, Editing & Proofreading
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager to outline stories
• Partner with internal teams to source strategic content
• Steward the EA brand voice and support its continuing refinement in partnership with the Senior Manager
• Set copy standards across Electronic Arts branded channels
• Maintain a high standard for accuracy in all communications
• Write copy for cross-platform promotion (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram…)
• Edit copy received from multiple sources for brand alignment

Project Management
• Manage deliverables in alignment with the editorial calendar
• Manage and follow workflow processes, including internal circulations, revisions and approvals.

Qualifications:
• Experience with cohesive storytelling to form a singular narrative from multiple information sources
• 360-degree thinking across multiple channels and audiences
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, or similar writing-intensive programs.
• 5+ years of professional writing experience as a journalist or in-house within the entertainment or lifestyle industry.
• Experience writing for multiple audiences.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): $107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
