Job Description
Performance Marketing is an internal cross-functional team within The Walt Disney Studios Marketing organization. The Performance Marketing team leverages developing and maturing ad technologies to achieve remarkable data-driven results within auction-based or otherwise addressable media platforms while supporting other paid media and marketing efforts with insights, recommendations, and innovative marketing technologies. Performance Marketing includes Marketing Technology and Marketing Science who help drive innovation, but also includes Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Compliance who ground the overall team in the business. Together, we strive and collaborate for continuous improvement in advertising effectiveness and efficiency while protecting and enhancing the magical brands of The Walt Disney Studios.

This role falls within the Marketing Compliance team and will drive value by partnering with the legal team for contracting and ensuring that all media and data practices are compliant and regulatory.

Job Responsibilities:

For the current position, the Marketing Compliance team is looking to add a professional with a background in media, data and legal compliance.
• Working directly under and with the Senior Manager to develop compliance/brand safety guidelines, data governance, legal contracts and regulations for performance marketing data supporting theatrical or streaming title releases or other Disney brands and products
• Negotiating, reviewing, managing and maintaining data, analytics, measurement, audience, advertising, and technology contracts for the Performance Marketing team in partnership with the Disney Entertainment Studio Content Marketing Legal Team
• Documenting and maintaining guidelines for all ad platforms, measurement and data partnerships
• Monitor and implement the legal contract prioritization queue
• Working cross functionally with internal teams to understand data use cases, business use cases and strategic data driven marketing strategies to translate business needs and requirements
• Working cross-functionally with internal teams as well as our external media agency to ensure compliance and regulations for all campaigns
• Partner with legal to aid in the planning and development of regulatory marketing compliance
• Build and implement compliance policies and procedures with first party, second party and third party data including but not limited to data retention, data usage, audience targeting and data collection
• Manage and monitor audience data overlap, governance and prioritization of audience segments across XLOBs and internal campaigns
• Interfacing, communicating and partnering effectively with the sales and legal compliance teams across third party ad platforms, measurement, and data partnerships
• Implement data governance initiatives and support the advertising marketing data governance structure
• Monitor and implement brand safety guidelines in partnership with the Performance Marketing and Marketing Analytics team for all ad platforms
• Monitor audience and pixel platform usage across LiveRamp, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, DV360, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Trade Desk to ensure compliance
• Participate in internal XLOB monthly status meetings to share and ensure legal compliance and data governance is up to date
• Participate in sharing knowledge with internal XLOB departments as appropriate regarding compliance and data sharing initiatives
• Participating as a member of a cohesive and collaborative, cross-functional Performance Marketing team
• Support internal teams when necessary with ad hoc projects
• Maintain awareness and understanding of laws and regulations relevant to advertising, advertising technology, marketing technology, audience data, data collection and APIs
• Maintain knowledge of media technology, buying platforms and analytics tools

Required/Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area including Philosophy, Law, Government, Politics, History, Marketing, Business, Economics and/or relevant work experience
• Minimum 5+ years working with legal, data governance, marketing compliance, digital marketing or advertising media
• Understanding of the adtech ecosystem
• Experience and knowledge in advertising technology (pixels) and digital data collection
• Experience and knowledge of privacy and data laws such as GDPR, CCPA, VPPA
• Knowledge of digital ad serving, tracking and implementation
• Knowledge of data infrastructure, data analytics and measurement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to work independently as well as across teams in a diverse, international, collaborative environment
• Self-driven, accountable, well-organized, detail-oriented individual
• Cross functional team player with a passion for entertainment and Disney's Studios brands
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively that meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work on-site in Burbank, in a hybrid capacity

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Marketing Technology or Advertising Technology
• Experience with SmartSheets, AirTable
• Experience with ad platforms including Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Innovid, LiveRamp and DSPs (Google DV360, Trade Desk, Amazon Ads, Yahoo DSP)
• Experience working with cross functional teams to translate business needs into data requirements
• Experience working with theatrical exhibitors
• Ability to see the bigger picture and explain how complicated systems, processes and products work

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $124,900 to $167,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
