The Category Manager – FHB will assist the Sr. Director in shaping and executing short and long-term strategies for various categories, with a focus on food, beverage, and confection. This role involves managing licensee relationships, identifying, and pitching new partners, and overseeing category performance. You will work collaboratively across our organization to ensure our strategies support our broader organization. This role also oversees quarterly forecasts, budget reviews, and various category initiatives. Expect to present business updates and new initiatives to senior management, partner with various internal teams, and drive new business. Additionally, you will create pitches for internal and external partners and use competitive analysis and industry trends to identify fan-first business opportunities.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Assists Sr. Director in developing and executing of long- and medium-term category strategies (1-2 years out) for the FHB business which contains food, beverage, confection, beauty, personal care, and health categories.
• Day-to-day licensee management; ownership of the relationship with licensees and overall category management.
• Identify, evaluate, and pitch licensing partners that can deliver on an established set of criteria (e.g., brand quality, distribution, sales performance, product development capabilities, marketing) and whose strategies and goals support WBD.
• Plan and execute quarterly forecasts and annual budget reviews – analyze information and manage licensees to adapt to changes or challenges as they materialize.
• Drive annual sub-category initiatives, revenue plan and execution for FHB subcategories.
• Present and interact with senior management to share business updates, new initiatives and contribute to business discussions.
• Partner with Franchise, Creative, Product Development, Finance, PR, Sales, Retail Business Development teams to execute WBD initiatives and strategies.
• Develop, assess, and execute short and long-term new business initiatives; directly manage licensees to establish product assortment, retail distribution plans, and sales performance goals.
• Recognize and apply competitive analysis, industry key learnings and relevant category trends to overall business opportunities.
• Create and deliver pitches and presentations to both internal and external partners.
Qualifications & Experience...
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• BA/BS degree in business or related field required.
Work Experience
• 5+ years of experience in Licensing industry with established background in food/CPG licensing strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
• Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with and across various internal and external stakeholders to cultivate strong, long-term relationships that drive strategic company goals.
• Good-standing connections with key brands and stakeholders within the licensing industry
• Solid negotiating skills with ability to participate in intricate licensee agreements with leading CPG brands.
• Demonstrated ability to execute successful strategic plans and programs.
• Proven responsibility and accountability for meeting category financial goals
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with senior management.
• Developed soft skills at an elevated level.
• Displays creativity and innovation in work, as well as responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented in all interactions.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
