Job Description
Disney Advertising Sales is seeking an Associate Manager who will be responsible for assisting a team on project management for advertiser driven cross-platform brand solutions within the News vertical.
The Associate Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and activation of advertiser driven cross-platform brand solutions within the News vertical which includes Good Morning America, World News with David Muir, Nightline, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, ABC News Live and other News Specials.
Responsibilities
Assist team members on the development and execution of cross-platform (linear, digital, social, streaming, etc.) deals.
• Participate in idea generation and help with creation of pitch materials (RFPs and proactive).
• Participate in and contribute to idea generation.
• Assist in creation of client-facing pitch materials that detail (customized and market-wide) sponsorship opportunities.
• Help manage approvals among key stakeholders (Management, Legal, BS&P, PR, Business Affairs, studios, producers, etc.) and build and maintain strong such relationships.
• Assist in management of the activation process: timelines, approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc. May include:
• Assist in all project related paperwork.
• Coordinate and manage approvals.
• Support on-set shoots.
• Budget management/billing.
• Responsible for digitizing and uploading all branded content.
• Deal recaps and case studies.
• Monitor and ensure project elements are delivering across all platforms.
• Possibility to work with and oversee portions of intern workloads.
• Provide organizational support to the team including: manage status reports, meeting recaps, set up cross-team processes, set meetings/calls etc.
• Oversee competitive tracking and reporting.
• Help manage editorial and PR led sales requests.
• Assist and manage show and department related documentation: budget management, department status reports, case studies, research, competitive analysis, etc.
• Support and collaborate with team members on News and cross-Disney portfolio projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of marketing, sponsorship, promotion, branded entertainment and/or media at a network, cable, promotional/media agency or entertainment studio.
• Experience with on-set shoots, both on tape and in a live environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills (especially in high stress environments) and professional presence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to translate oral ideas into written pitches.
• Experience in project management across linear and digital/social.
• Adept problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate creative thinking.
• Highly organized, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multi-task.
• Independent decision maker and proven work solving complex problems.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Team player with the desire to do whatever it takes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $89,900 to $120,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
