QA specialist (Korean to English)

Job Title:

Linguistic QA Specialist – Korean to English

Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct subtitle reviews for client content, Korean to English
• Ensure accuracy of objective errors: grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, fluency, and intent is conveyed through subtitles
• Escalate any issues with the subtitle quality and collaborate with the relevant team to resolve issues in timely manner
• Consult with quality team for feedback validation, as required
• Create creative guidelines for key titles
• Seek to understand and correct any language uncertainty
• Evaluate translation quality of our collaborators based on performance metrics, quality scores, and feedback records

What you bring:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:
• Extensive experience working in translation and subtitling
• Outstanding Korean and English language skills, both written and oral
• Must be punctual, organized, diligent, and detail-oriented
• Can apply good judgement and research when faced with ambiguous situations
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills to ensure success across the team
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of media localization preferred
