Position: Digital Delivery Technician
Location: Hollywood, CA – Hybrid
Hours of Operation: Swing Shift, 6:00pm – 2:30pm PT
*Pay Range: $26.50 - $33.65 USD hourly
The Digital Delivery Technician is responsible for the safe and secure handling of sensitive client digital assets for broadcast, home video, OTT and theatrical client deliverables. The Digital Delivery Technician uses editing/playback/transcoding tools including, but not limited to: Resolve, Clipster, AVID, Final Cut Pro, Transkoder and Adobe CS to capture, edit, transcode and convert files according to client needs.
This position will require working in our Hollywood studio on a regular basis. Must be available to work swing shift, 6:00pm – 2:30am PT, and must be willing to work other shifts, as necessary per business needs.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Digital Delivery Technician will work with data from a variety of sources and is charged with transcoding, capturing, migrating, archiving, verifying and preserving these assets. They will work with many different media and file types including, but not limited to: VTR formats, frame-based sequences (video), stream/container-based video (compressed and uncompressed), audio files (compressed and uncompressed), and metadata. They will also:
• Create and assemble project timelines.
• Encode / Render various formats including IMF and DCP packages.
• QC of various assets.
• Setup and monitor client QC sessions.
• Troubleshoot project issues and rejections.
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated working knowledge of all file types currently used in FILM/TV production and distribution as well as current broadcast/streaming/theatrical trends and HDR workflows, as well as demonstrated familiarity with Linux, Windows, and Mac OS operating systems.
• Working knowledge of DCP and IMF creation and tools.
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Resolve, Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder, Final Cut Pro 7, Encoding/Transcoding Apps.
• Familiarity with all common file and tape-based video formats.
• Ability to anticipate needs and shift priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment; adaptability; strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Strong judgment and discretion, organizational skills with proven attention to detail.
• Effective, efficient written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Team player and demonstrated ability to work well independently.
• Prior educational or working experience in Communications/Film/TV, Computer Science, Library, Multi-Media, or similar is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with secure digital delivery systems is a plus.
• Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office/Outlook, Google Suite is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working in a post-production/studio environment in a technical capacity is a plus.
