Temporary News Production Assistant (PT)

WLUK FOX 11 is offering an exciting opportunity for a temporary, part-time News Production Assistant to support the production of our news coverage during the NFL Draft.
This part-time, temporary position will be for three days, specifically to assist with the production of live newscasts related to the NFL Draft. Please note that this role is subject to change and adaptation as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the production of daily newscasts, including:
• Set up and tear down of required studio elements and sets
• Perform preshow lighting, audio, and IFB checks
• Support with preshow and post-show production tasks
• Operate the teleprompter during live broadcasts
• Maintain the studio environment and manage supply inventories
• Set up and manage feeds for transmission
• Serve as grip for location shoots
• Work as part of the crew for remote productions
• Train for potential opportunities to fill in and advance to control room positions
• Other duties as assigned, as per production needs

Qualifications:
• Related education and/or experience preferred
• Strong candidates will have familiarity with all phases of studio and control room operations
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, live production environment

This position is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in broadcast production, especially within a live event context like the NFL Draft.
