Job Summary/Description:
WLBT is looking for a curious thinker who wants to tell thoughtful stories to join the largest news team in the state. If you care about people and the issues that affect all our lives, we encourage you to consider this multimedia journalist position.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write, shoot, edit, and publish stories on digital and linear platforms
- Pitch thoughtful, inquisitive stories in editorial meetings
- Examine source information, data, and community issues with an investigative eye
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of governmental, legal, and civic processes
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent communicator - with both the written word and oral expression
- Understanding of the principles and ethics of fair journalism
- College degree or equivalent military/work experience
