Job Summary/Description:
WLBT in Jackson, MS is looking for a Journalist to join our digital team. The ideal candidate can create engaging content across all digital platforms. Strong writing skills are required.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Write and post content to the website and app
- Share content to social media platforms
- Coordinate live streams across platforms
- Pitch stories in editorial meetings
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a strong writer with good news judgment
- Must work well under pressure
- Must have a good understanding of social media platforms
- College degree in Journalism or related field preferred
