Job Title: Project Director, DEI

The Global DEI team is embedded within HR and serves all WMG businesses globally– within 42 countries and six continents where we have a presence. We are a nimble and scrappy team focused on execution and maximizing collaboration with our human resources colleagues. Our team's vision is simple: to build a sustainable DEI practice by embedding it in every aspect of the employee experience. Our reach and scale will be defined by our success in partnering with HR and business leaders. Our vision will be fully realized when DEI is integral to every aspect of our people-related practices.
Your role:
As Project Director for the DEI function, you will implement critical projects and help ensure the success of DEI programs globally. You will be uniquely able to collaborate globally with stakeholders across WMG and the company's HR function. You will help design methods to evaluate the progress of our DEI work and identify potential approaches to improving DEI outcomes. You will supervise the Program Manager, ERG and Global Events, and provide guidance on the planning and execution of WMG's ERG program.
Here you'll get to:
• You will manage and implement strategies and solutions to drive DEI outcomes.
• You will partner with various business stakeholders, identify resources, and project-manage the delivery of a range of DEI programs and initiatives.
• Provide direction and oversee the Program Manager, ERG, and Global Events to support their success and successful execution of our employee resource group initiatives and programs.
• You will use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, insights, and gaps to inform WMG's DEI strategy and relevant programming.
• You will handle legal, privacy, budgetary, and other operational complexities to accomplish DEI goals.
• You will support communications efforts, including internal and external messaging, panels, events, and other engagements.
• You will partner with the People Experience & Solutions team to collect and analyze data on diversity and inclusion metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
• You will benchmark the organization's performance against industry standards and competitors.
• You will provide strategic insight and support related to community engagement and philanthropic activities, including those linked to our work with the Social Justice Fund.
• You will manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring that deliverables are met.

• Management or team leadership experience.
• Experience in human resources and a background in DEI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, connect with diverse stakeholders, and see various perspectives.

• Subject matter expertise in DEI.
• Self-starter who can digest big-picture ideas into actionable KPIs.
• Analytical, critical thinker with problem-solving skills.
• A data-driven decision-maker who can collect, interpret, and communicate the process and results to diverse stakeholders.
• Autonomy and teamwork - you enjoy operating independently but love being part of a highly supportive and collaborative team.
• Resilient, with a high level of self-awareness, empathy, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
We'd love it if you also had the following:
• 3-5 years experience working in a diversity and inclusion function in the private sector
• Track record in designing processes for new initiatives
• Experience engaging with senior leaders
• Experience managing direct report(s)
• Expertise in data collection, analysis, and communicating insights in human resources or equivalent function
• Appreciation and passion for the music/entertainment industry

Effective October 1st 2023, this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range
$95,000 - $112,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
