Job Title: Manager, Investor Relations
A little bit about our team:
The Investor Relations team drives our narrative to ensure that the WMG's business strategy and financial prospects are fully understood by the analyst and investor community.
Your role:
This role will be a key member of a collaborative and dynamic team with high visible and direct exposure to senior management. This role will work with the SVP, Investor Relations to prepare senior management for investor presentations, conferences and quarterly earnings calls, develop key messages for the investor community, prepare regular reports for senior management and perform financial analysis regarding the company and its peers. The ideal candidate will be highly-motivated, enthusiastic self-starters who are attentive to deadlines and who are capable of putting forth high quality work under occasional time constraints.
Here you'll get to:
• Preparation of quarterly earnings materials including earnings call scripts, Q&A for senior management and analysis of key earnings drivers
• Research and develop key Q&A topics to prepare senior management for presentations at investor conferences and investor meetings
• Preparation of analyses and other materials for senior management to present at board meetings
• Cover and summarize peer companies' quarterly earnings calls, investor days and presentations at investor conferences
• Perform ad hoc research projects and valuation analysis related to the company and its peers using research reports, company filings and external database sources
• Maintain a monthly analysis of peer consensus estimates and peer ratings and target prices
• Prepare for senior management a regular market analysis including trading multiples, stock price performance, and sell-side ratings for the company and its peers
• Monitor sell-side analysts' estimates for the Company and key peer companies
• Maintain a database of analyst quarterly estimates and annual earnings for the Company
• Act as a liaison between internal and external customers of the investor relations department
• Provide analyst estimates to the Financial Planning department as well as obtain financial information from them regarding divisional results and targets
• Provide equity research for Corporate Communications, Corporate Development, Financial Planning, and other departments
• Coordinate conference calls associated with the quarterly earnings release, investor conferences and other publicly released information regarding the company
About you:
• Highly proficient in financial modeling and valuation analyses
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Ecomonics
• 3-5 years previous experience in investment banking, equity research, or management consulting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that includes in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Knowledge of equity markets, derivative instruments and market trading dynamics
• Excellent research skills and ability to organize, synthesize and present information
• Willing to be flexible, capable of performing tasks in a high intensity work environment and able to deliver high quality work product on tight deadlines
• Collaborative team player capable of working across multiple groups / functions within WMG
• Exceptional organizational skills, process-oriented and attentive to deadlines
• Strong familiarity with FactSet, Bloomberg and other financial news platforms/databases
• Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Prior experience effectively dealing with sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the strictest confidence
