Job Title: Financial Analyst, Recorded Music Finance

A little bit about our team:
The Recorded Music (RM) Finance team provides coordination and support for all analysis and executive reporting throughout WMG RM. The department partners on a wide array of analysis across RM deals (i.e., A&R, Licensing, JV/Profit Share, M&A, Administration), corporate (i.e., business development), operating performance/delivery tracking, market analysis, competitive analysis, risk management, strategic opportunities and ad-hoc projects as required by the business.
Your role:
As a member of the RM finance team, you will gain experience working closely with executive leadership as well as the labels, corporate, accounting and A/R, A/P.Primary responsibilities include financial data analysis, cost tracking, financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Here you'll get to:
• Manage actuals, forecast and budget reporting packages for CFO, RM and CEO, RM and support the development/updates to performance dashboards & management reporting tools
• Support CFO, RM and Sr, Manager RM Finance with developing financial models and strategic assessments to address key business issues, e.g., business and operational planning, evaluation of new business models, key deals and postmortem analyses, emerging technologies and innovations, competitive analyses, media landscape overviews, programming and content deals, ROI analyses of RM's investments in new businesses and technologies, etc.
• Conduct industry/market research and write summary reports as needed
• Act as liaison between various departments and affiliates for cross-functional projects
• Assist in ad-hoc analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management to understand key business drivers and variances
• Collaborate with RM Finance Team on board presentations, valuations, etc.
• Assist with cash forecasting and provide analysis/commentary on variances against prior periods
• Participate in the creation of L-T plans, and other operational planning analyses for new business initiatives
• Assist with ad-hoc invoice submissions, coding, vendor set-up requests and payment status tracking for RM Home Office invoices

We'd love it if you also had:
• 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or audit role
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong oral and written communication skills; strong ability to interface and develop relationships with contacts at all levels of the organization
• Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to use data to tell an effective and accurate story
• Knowledge of music/media industry a plus
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, HFM a plus
Salary Range
$65,000 to $75,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
