Assistant Manager, Theatrical Distribution

Job Description

Purpose of the role:
• To assist the supervision of theatrical operations of Warner Bros. films in Korea
• To manage all materials related to theatrical distribution such as DCP and KDM

Major activities:

Distribution & Operations

1. Manage DCP&KDM arrangements/technical operation, communicating with HO and local cinemas (30%)
- Maintain ASK, DELUXE, SMARTSHEET and arrange DCP/KDM, Prepare censorship procedures

2. Assist/Manage MACCS for cinema booking (20%)
- Update and follow up the system per booking and collection status

3. Assist/Manage DASH and Quickbase/IDA (15%)
- Update competitor's release schedule, box office performance, etc
- Manage box office data collection from industry b/o reporting system

4. Assist/Conduct research of industry statistics, business trend and competitor activities (10%)
- Research theatrical market trend in relative to COVID and OTT penetration

5. Arrange pre-release screenings (5%)
- Prepare DCP and KDM under pre-release screening guidelines from HO and assist press screenings

Finance & Administration Support

1. Maintain POs and invoices for distribution, plus other related expenses (15%)
- Prepare and manage POs in SAP as following-up with vendors

2. Assist monthly FOS for senior management as well as other ad hoc executive management reports/presentations (5%)

Requirements

Essential
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the movie and entertainment industry
• Degree or equivalent experience in College degree holder
• Experience in the movie or similar entertainment industry, preferably exhibition or distribution
• Fluent in speaking and writing in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively as a team player
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Above average skills in MS Office, database software

Desirable
• Broad knowledge and experience in the theatrical business
• Finance knowledge and analytical-minded is a plus
