Your New Role

The Vice President, Production & Talent Management will work closely with the EVP, Production & Talent Management, helping to achieve our business objectives and ensuring that great talent is drawn to, and stays at Warner Brothers Pictures Animation.

This role will be responsible, but not limited to, full cycle Recruiting, Talent onboarding, all talent related workflows, performance management, as well as special projects related to the running of the animation business, including appropriate support for our partner studios. They will apply their understanding of artistic capabilities, production needs, and workflows to create efficient workflows and to ensure the proper casting of the talent at the studio.

This ''hands-on'' role will report into the EVP of Production and Talent Management and will partner closely with the President of WBPA, the EVP of Production for WBPA, and key stakeholders as well as the broader HR team.

Your Role Accountabilities

Talent Acquisition
• End to end recruiting for all production, including, but not limited to, collaborating with managers on crafting job descriptions through extending job offers.
• Develop and execute an Inclusion and Diversity Strategy for WBPA partnering with key stakeholders across production and Warner Brothers.
• Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of Talent Tracking tools (HRIS/CRM).
• Partner with Production to create a Staffing Profile workflow so that Talent Acquisition can accurately project internal transitions and hiring needs.
• Assist establishing and maintaining efficient and inclusive Talent workflows across WBPA and our partner studios.
• Create and execute an external event strategy to highlight job opportunities across our projects.
• Create, execute, and maintain an onboarding strategy for all talent coming into WBPA.
• Stay attuned to current industry trends to educate and advise business stakeholders on recruiting landscape.
• Provide regular market intelligence updates to key studio an show leadership.
• Create and implement Talent branding strategy
• Prepare annual recruitment budget.
• Manage our external partnerships with colleges, job boards and HR software vendors.
• Ensure all recruitment practices are compliant with government regulations and organizational policies.
• Help introduce new talent successfully within the studio and projects.
• Communicate and support the Studio's Talent Strategy, both internally and externally, that result in attracting, onboarding, and retaining inclusive top talent across Warner Brothers Animation.

Crewing and staffing
• Helps ensure the strategic and timely casting of all projects within Warner Brothers Pictures Animation.
• Assists with Analyzing the consolidated production schedules to create provisional headcount plans.
• Partners with Studio and Show Leadership to project resource deficits or surpluses of man weeks and anticipates downtime and/or recruitment needs.
• Helps identify creative solutions and resolves allocation conflicts when resource or time constraints compromise production schedules.
• Provide support for artist transitions, ensuring smooth and timely information flow to the artist.
• Supports and encourages ongoing crew assessments and helps create effective feedback mechanisms and development plans.
• In collaboration with the Studio's Leadership Team, maintain and update a leadership succession plan and proactively identify new leaders.

Talent Development / Mentorship
• In partnership with artist management, support internal and/or external programs for the crews hired to help with engagement and retention.
• Manage, train and evaluate Talent team employees to ensure they are growing and learning in new areas.

Special Projects
• Support the President of WBPA and the EVP of Production for WBPA with special projects in talent or production.
• Overall mentorship of staff.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required and/or 10+ years experience in Animation or related field.
• Experience leading end-to-end recruitment cycle from strategy and planning to execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• The ability to effectively communicate, interact, and partner with Studio and show leadership.
• Specialized knowledge of the animation production process, workflows, and familiarity with production environments.
• Strong skills in the area of time management and organization.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic/ever-changing environment is required.
• Ability to independently analyze and use sound judgment to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to design and implement multiple projects, set and meet deadlines.
• Experience working within Applicant Tracking Systems, specialized job boards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal standards and practices as it relates to recruitment and hiring.
