Job Description
As an integral member of the SAP Basis team, the SAP Basis Administrator will provide administration support to all SAP and peripheral systems and participate in 24*7 production support .
Your Role Accountabilities:
• Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and performance tuning and troubleshooting of
• SAP S/4, SAP MDG, SAP BRIM, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP SRM, SAP SCM, SAP CRM, SAP LVM, MDM, Catalog, APO Live Cache/ MaxDB , SAP GRC, SAP IQ, EP and Solution Manager
• Peripheral systems such as OpenText, Go3i, PGP encryption
• Interfaces such as printers, emails servers, Go Anyware /file drops
• Maintaining and managing SAP Portal System.
• System copies and landscape synchronization.
• Manage backups and restores
• Manage and satisfy SOX and other audit controls.
• Effectively interface and collaborate with other infrastructure teams: server, storage and networking.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Stay abreast of SAP roadmaps, development and OSS notes to help improve current platform.
• Create and maintain team documentation leading to best practices, standardization and service desk support.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• 4 years of SAP Basis Administration experience.
• 3+ years of experience working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment
• 6 months experience in S/4HANA, BRIM and BW/4HANA, SLT environment
• 6 months of experience supporting SAP in Cloud environment
• Experience with multiple SAP components: as many as possible from the list above. Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4 HANA , SLT, SAP SCM, APO/Live Cache, SAP GRC, SAP IQ, SAP SRM, Portal, BTP, Fiori Launchpad, SAP CRM, HANA
• Experience with Enhancement Packages, ABAP and Java stack administration including system copies.
• Experience with HANA and/or DB2 Databases and Unix administration concepts as necessary for Basis work, including scripting in AWS Cloud and
On Premise environment
• Adequate interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.
• Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must be able to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
• Must be service-oriented.
• Must be able to work on specific task with required guidance
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime , when necessary.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
D . Preferred:
• Familiarity with SOX and ITIL
• SAP certification
• Experience with AWS
• Understanding of SAP applications and its functionalities is an added advantage.
• Experience supporting SAP in AWS cloud environment
