Job Description
The Manager of Animation Post Production will support the overall post production operation of the division. Working closely with the VP of Post Production, this role will assist in the management and day to day oversight of all internal post-production sub-departments. This role will also oversee tasks including (but not limited to): process maintenance, communication between internal production teams and external vendors, the proliferation of departmental specs and procedures, maintaining schedules, troubleshooting issues with individual editors, collaborating with individual production teams and external clients, managing facility needs, and overseeing post production staff. This person will be involved in many facets of post-production for the division and will provide support for services across the department.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Internal management of post production content through the department. Ensuring audio and video elements proceed through the department smoothly, correctly and in a timely manner. Responsive to the fluid needs of productions, this role helps to maintain the 'guardrails' for the department, maintaining the framework that production teams create within.
• With the VP, day to day management of sub-teams within the department. Ensures that staff is clear on duties, priorities time tracking and charge expectations. Assists with schedule issues, personnel concerns, workload allocations, etc. This includes but is not limited to: Post Production Staff, Editorial Staff, Recording Studio + Sound editorial, Online team, Track team, I/O team and Archive team
• Collaborate with individual show Producers and LPs to standardize post checkpoints, process, schedules, reviews and general procedures. Consult with teams to establish these protocols early and reinforce them via regular check-ins to maintain continuity. Works closely with individual productions to troubleshoot editorial and post issues, collaborate and problem solve in a common goal to keep shows delivering on schedule and to quality.
• Facilitate and collaborate with individual shows as well as our inhouse animation/VFX/creative service teams to interpret PSE testing results and resolve any issues in approved media.
• With the VP and post production staff, oversees the maintenance of trackers for production and finance bill backs (E.G. internal record studio hours). Communicate and provide data to production and finance leads to ensure that all hours are appropriately allocated and aligned with ranges provided by the post teams.
• Manage and maintain the delivery schedules/reports for multiple shows. With Production Executive team, manages both internal facing and external delivery dates on an ongoing basis. This will be a fluid portion of the job that requires clear, patient communication with production staff, the post IO team, VP of post and multiple production executives.
• Post Supervision over various jobs that require additional supervision and support. These jobs include but are not limited to promo materials, trailers, short form content, internal/external screenings, logo creation, etc.
• With VP, facility management of the post production footprint in the Burbank office. This includes but is not limited to: Security, Access maintenance, Edit Bay management, Onboard/Offboard of staff, Provide New hire docs, Consult/troubleshoot software with new hires, start accounts, etc., Coordinate with IT to facilitate new hires and layoffs, Teach how to use OTA time tracker and assist VP with timecard approvals.
• Help maintain and develop new documentation, outlining various post process for different audiences and maintain our internal wiki site (E.G. delivery specs for vendors, SBP exchange, mix checklist for producers, testing protocols for new animation teams, etc.). With VP, responsible for keeping DDRs and format sheets up to date, regularly updating documents as required, while maintaining legacy pipelines that may still be in use for ongoing productions.
• With VP, creation and maintenance of internal job codes and oversight of our post SAN file structure, ensuring asset and security protocols are maintained.
• Technical troubleshooting issues with post centric hardware, software and services to identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications & Experience…

Work Experience
• 5 - 8 years previous work experience in picture finishing, visual effects for film, commercials, or television.
• CG or Television Animation production, or equivalent production experience required.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• High School and College

Knowledge/Skills
• Must understand current industry post production techniques and technologies.
• Knowledge of Smartsheets and MS office suite required.
• Familiarity with common multimedia file formats, aspect ratios, sound configurations & standards.
• Working knowledge of industry standard post production tools such as Premiere, Avid, Resolve, Photoshop, After Effects, Storyboard Pro, Harmony, etc.
• Management experience.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Good technical knowledge of: MacOS, Windows and Linux operating systems, Post production workflows and standards.

• Must be organized and poses the ability to manage multiple, concurrent, time critical tasks.
• Must be able to balance and manage priorities amid the pressures of busy, deadline-driven environment.
• Must be detail oriented with an eye to delivery,.
• Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate professionally with artists, executives, clients, and talent.
• Must have ability to lead by example with a positive attitude and encourage collaboration both within the team and between various teams across WBA.
• Must demonstrate the ability to be proactive and follows through on every task assigned.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
