Job Description
The Postproduction department at Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Metadata Administrator to join their dynamic team. This position will play a key role in writing accurate and engaging metadata. Responsibilities will include assigning taxonomy/tags for linear and non-linear video assets, establishing best practices for video metadata creation and maintain metadata for an enterprise-level asset library. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Italian and English (fluency in languages other than Italian and English will be considered as a bonus). Please provide writing sample(s) with resume.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Creates quality, error free, factually correct metadata (titles, descriptions and keywords), making sure that SEO best practices are upheld as much as possible.
• Works with brand partners to ensure keywords/taxonomy and other related video metadata are in line with search engine optimization goals.
• Develops or enhances style guides or taxonomy values to ensure the appropriate message, tone and ''look and feel.''
• Coordinates metadata delivery with brand and digital teams.
• Enters metadata for digital content library based on deadline workflow.
• Establishes appropriate links for connecting videos to other relevant material.
• Ensure ongoing accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery of metadata, including video assets as well as associated people and organizations.
• Maintains data quality post-production on library assets for future repurpose.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Ability to write in Italian and translate English into Italian.
• Proficient in AP Style, adherence to in-house style guides, and excellent writing skills with strong attention to grammar and composition.
• Experience in copy writing, editing, communications or a directly related field.
• Proficient in personal computing, including Microsoft Office, database applications, data entry, and internet research.
• Experience with taxonomies, cataloguing assets, and digital media, including production and distribution practices, with a background in Library/Information science preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work to a deadline.
