Under direction of Director, implements and executes strategies for long-term growth in the Global Themed Entertainment (GTE) category. Primarily focused on the Location Based Entertainment and Events with support of overall GTE development and management, as well as business development of existing and emerging opportunities. Manages specific licensing activities with responsibility for potential business growth opportunities, licensee negotiation input and specific day-to-day oversight.
Your Role Responsibilities...
• Evangelizes GTE strategy and goals.
• Supports both short-term and long-term GTE strategies in order to maximize revenue and brand exposure. Utilizing industry knowledge, determines appropriate business opportunities based on licensee experience, market share, creative ability, financial proposal, speed to market and overall fit within GTE portfolio of themed experiences.
• Staying abreast on industry trends and competition.
• Under direction of Director, manages all aspects of assigned LBE accounts from pitching properties and input on contract negotiation to servicing the day-to-day business needs of licensees including oversight of creative approvals through StarLabs and in direct consultation with Creative team, procurement of creative assets including style guides, marketing updates, property research, legal approvals, and public relations support.
• Works closely with key internal stakeholders (Franchise, PR, Legal, Finance, Product Development, Brand Assurance, DC & WBCP) along with sister divisions (Studio Facilities, WBTV, WBIE, WBHE, Theatrical Promotions) to ensure consistent brand and strategy alignment, communication on necessary approvals and marketing activations, and asset requests.
• Assists Director in evaluating complex and/or new business opportunities including due diligence on potential licensees, market & competition, size of financial opportunity, and best business model. Also assists in negotiating critical deal points providing key input and analysis.
• Assists Director in establishing, managing, and achieving financials goals, providing significant input in overall short-term and long-range budget targets, as well as assists in all forecasts/business reviews and monitors sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals.
• In collaboration with the GTE territory lead, communicates key account activity to international stakeholders including general licensee updates, current negotiations and pitches, financial forecasts, and long-term plans.
• Attends tradeshows, visits licensees, and licensed attractions as needed to update property activities and provide strategic direction.
• Performs other related licensing duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experiences...
• 3 – 5 year of previous category management experience (location-based entertainment knowledge a plus)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
• Willingness to learn, grow, and dive into challenges head on
• Outside of the box thinking
• Knowledge of licensing industry a plus
• Knowledge of WB IP preferred
• Must have ability to organize and prioritize work, prepare, and present written and oral sales presentations, and communicate with clients, licensees, and management to determine needs and solve problems
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior management and all other levels of personnel
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must be confident
• Must be able to take initiative
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks
• Must be able to lift 20+ lbs
• Must be able to travel when necessary

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
