Job Description
Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Executive with a passion for film to join our distribution team. This role is crucial for managing and analyzing box office data, generating insightful reports, and providing key market intelligence to senior management. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an understanding of the film industry.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Box Office Data Management and Reporting:
• Summarize daily Gross Box Office (GBO) data for all released films, including weekend performance, adhering to prescribed formats and deadlines.
• Source, maintain, and analyze comprehensive data on all theatrical releases, including:
• Release dates
• Box office collections (daily, weekly, cumulative)
• Print and advertising costs
• Number of prints/screens
• Revenue figures
• Weekly top 10 charts
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management, including:
• Competitive data reports (e.g., Top 10 cinemas, Top 5 circuits)
• Monthly MPA & WB GBO
• Opening weekend MPA reports with records/comparisions
• Revenue Per Screen (CPS) analysis
• GBO comparisons
• Market intelligence reports
• Local film performance reports
• Provide weekly and monthly GBO reports to KRS.

2. Data Systems Management:
• Maintain and update internal databases (DASH and MAGIC) with relevant data for Hollywood, international, and local film releases, including censor ratings, revenue, GBO, print costs, advertising and publicity expenses, and trailer placements.

3. Sales Analysis and Reporting:
• Develop and generate sales-related reports for analysis by senior management and regional/head offices, including weekly and weekend performance reports.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis of box office and revenue data to support forecasting, budgeting, and the tracking of opening day/weekend records.

4. Censor Board Liaison:
• Backup to the Manager – Operations in the censor application process for trailers and promotional materials, including tracking submissions, coordinating with the censor board office, and liaising with Tech Ops/Head Office to ensure timely delivery of materials and receipt of censor certificates for distribution to the sales team.

5. SAP Administration and Procurement:
• Manage administrative purchases within SAP, including creating shopping carts for operational expenses, following up with vendors on invoicing, and preventing after-the-fact Purchase Orders (POs).
• Provide backup support to the Tech Ops Manager for content-related POs.

6. Market Research and Analysis:
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor branding and trailer placement effectiveness, gather market intelligence, and identify opportunities for special branding initiatives.
• Monitor the visibility of film trailers and in-cinema promotional materials. Maintain a management information system (MIS) of trailer placements and coordinate with the Sales team to optimize trailer targeting.

7. Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Distribution & Operations and the Vice President & Managing Director, including assistance with premieres, travel arrangements, and other ad-hoc tasks.

Job Requirement:

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Work Experience
• 3 years and above in data management
• Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably within the entertainment or media industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for film and the film industry.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
