Job Description
As the Bookings Team Lead you will work within On Air Production Services, part of Network Origination Services, and be responsible for overseeing the resourcing and distribution of feeds for over 10,000 live events each year including major football tournaments, rugby and with a remit to focus on the technical resources for London Bookings to deliver major rights including the Olympic games for Eurosport, Discovery+, MAX, Nordic linear and Cloud channels. The ideal candidate would be passionate about sport & live broadcast, have technical broadcast knowledge with previous experience of working in a similarly demanding operational environment. Our work is essential in ensuring that our global 24/7 MCR, Production & TX team/s have every small element required to successfully broadcast every second of Live sporting content to all our consumers.

As a Team Lead you will support and book event feeds, technical resources and ad hoc requests to deliver our live elements. You will provide day to day administrative support , Management and contribute to the management of the London Bookings Team, including following up operational details of events that the require investigation of any technical faults and put in place documentation to ensure the continuous smooth delivery of bookings.

As part of the role you will work in specific areas and may have additional responsibilities such as liaising with internal / external departments, taking care of daily team meetings and support the Bookings Supervisor, Bookings Team Manager and On Air Production Services Director.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• You will be responsible
overseeing the booking of live events and feeds using Xytech's MediaPulse
• You will take a technical oversee resources such as Encoders &, Decoders and forward plan to ensure that when there is high demand for the inventory our Live events will still be delivered
• Using available tools to document resources and highlight when further are needed in good time
• As Lead you will help grow and develop team skills to ensure the continuous high quality delivery of bookings
• Communicate with MCR, production and third parties to keep workflows updated and ensure relevant documentation is correct and be proactive developing secure procedures
• You will actively identify staffing pinch points
• Provide general administrative and technical support as required



Qualifications & Experience…
• Proven experience working in a live broadcast environment a in MCR, Live production and technical delivery environments
• Excellent communicator, forward-thinker and keen-eye
• Strong organizational and supervision abilities
• Knowledge of satellite bookings and distribution
• Ability to manage time and keep an organized approach especially under tight schedules
• Knowledge of satellite bookings and distribution
• An interest in sports is beneficial
• Previous experience of Media Pulse, or a similar resource scheduling system (eg Xytech Schedule ALL) is highly desirable



The role is primarily Monday-Friday normal office hours, but able to work from time to time at weekends, evenings and public holidays to deliver our major Live events, when required.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
