Job Description
This position will support Back of House operations at the Harry Potter Chicago store by maximizing customer and fan engagement in an awe inspiring, best in class retail environment. This role primarily oversees the store with operational responsibilities in the non-customer facing areas surrounding inventory integrity, product customization and merchandising. Additionally, you will be expected to connect with our guests by providing excellent service and addressing their needs to enhance their shopping experience.
Your Role Accountabilities
Employee Supervision
• Assists the store manager with interviewing, on-boarding, and training employees.
• Evaluates, coaches, and counsels store employees to meet all expectations.
• Conducts store staff meetings and attends all meetings as needed.
• Creates staffing and zoning plan for all associates within the store.
• Serve as lead point of contact for the store for all employees.
• Conducts yearly reviews and quarterly performance evaluations.
• Works closely with the store manager in strategies, core focuses and procedures.
• Performance manages and utilizes corrective actions if needed.
• Develops store succession plans with the support of the store manager and peers.
• Conducts discovery conversations to solve complex employee related problems.
Store Operations
• Oversees all Back of House operations in the areas of inventory management, cycle counts, product customization, and merchandising.
• Opens and/or closes the store, assigns cash drawers, and completes financials, audits, sales reports, and other relevant paperwork as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment through coaching and education to ensure safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Ensures that all team members develop an understanding of product knowledge and visual standards.
• Works with warehouse operations manager on inbound and outbound allocations.
• Leads yearly physical inventory stock take.
• Oversees maintenance on tools and personalization machinery.
• Plans merchandising strategies for the store
Financial Management
• Is responsible for maintaining store shrink to acceptable parameters.
• Adheres to company policies for all cash handling processes.
• Fosters operational strategies to achieve store KPI's.
• Utilizes customer insight to improve the customer experience strategy.
• Oversees proper inventory levels within the store.
• Adheres to strategy plans to increase profitability within segments of the store.
Customer Service
• Promotes a positive and seamless guest experience.
• Strategizes with management team on how to handle and resolve all guest-related issues, ensures service standards, levels, and maximizes the customer experience.
• Fosters the stores sales strategy plan on customer engagement.
• Works with store leadership to promote customer retention plans.
• Works aside all internal partners on product placement through seasonal drivetimes and trends.
Work Experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience in premium retail, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Exhibited proficiency for business acumen with exceptional customer service experience.
Knowledge/Skills
• Good understanding of business and financial concepts and demonstrated ability to lead the team to drive results.
• Established time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a positive attitude
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Other Requirements
• Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $49,650.00 - $92,206.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
