Fitness Producer (Temp), POPSUGAR Video

We're looking for a Producer for our fitness video team who will create video content for our #1 Fitness brand, including series like Class FitSugar, Dance FitSugar, and any developing series across POPSUGAR's site, Youtube, Facebook, and all other social channels, within Vox Media! Our ideal candidate holds their work to high performance standards. They have their finger on the pulse of fitness industry talent, trends, news, and brands, as well as the skills to effortlessly integrate them into engaging workout and video content. This candidate can seamlessly manage a variety of projects at once, and is experienced in both the creative and physical sides of production. They have experience working with big brands and the ability to marry sponsoring partner objectives with the POPSUGAR voice.

This TEMP position reports to the Senior Producer, Fitness Video and is required to work out of both our Culver City office, and remotely. Please include a highlight reel or portfolio of your work that is viewable without downloading in your application.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Oversee full production process, from ideation and pre-production, through production, and post production
• Build treatments for sponsored videos in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
• Research fitness workout trends and certified trainer talent, to then conduct castings and guide workout design.
• Direct talent and crew on set to meet creative and production standards to assure consistency of series structure, look, and feel.
• Quality control edits before editorial delivery, review, and approval
• Write captions and video descriptions
• Manage and deliver all requirements within fast-paced timelines
• Work closely with POPSUGAR production team and network development team, to manage a smooth production experience, and stay within editorial guardrails.

WHO YOU ARE
• At least 3 years of hands-on, on set studio production experience from short to long form video content (iphone / social only experience will not be considered)
• Must have reel and/or portfolio of work to share via link (w/o need to download)
• On set, film crew production experience
• In studio video production experience
• Branded or sponsored video experience
• Well acquainted with the women's lifestyle landscape and content.
• Direct experience in the fitness/wellness industry (and/or fitness certifications) is a big plus.
• Experience in providing clear feedback and direction from pre through post production process
• Understanding of best practices and how to optimize for social platforms (Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram)
• Big plus if have on set directing experience
• Be client-facing and demonstrate tact and professionalism around potential celebrity guests and brand partners
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Highly organized
• Grace under pressure, great people skills, high integrity and accountability

This job is flex, and requires the person to be located in or around the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

Pay Range

$75,000 — $90,000 USD
