Job Description
UTA seeks a Senior Manager of Technology Strategy and Planning. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the Vice President of Technology Strategy and Planning by assisting with strategic initiatives across the organization, facilitating seamless operations, managing portfolio governance, and supporting resource allocation, tracking, and forecasting. This position is based out of our Los Angeles office.

The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Do

Drive Technology Strategy & Operations
• Assist the Vice President of Technology Strategy and Planning and Technology Leadership with executing strategic initiatives and long-term planning goals
• Act as a liaison between senior leadership and organization to ensure effective coordination and communication
• Develop new mechanisms to foster increased communication and collaboration between the Technology department and its stakeholders
• Support the day-to-day operations of the technology department by creating sustainable processes for key activities (e.g. initiative intake)
• Aid in driving operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization by supporting the implementation of best practices and process improvements
• Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive research, and industry trend monitoring to inform strategic decision-making

Manage and track large organization wide initiatives
• Support the integration of M&A and divestitures into the full planning roadmap
• Help coordinate and support strategic, department programs and documents (e.g. AI strategy)
• Facilitate communication between the VP and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely dissemination of information, directives, and updates to promote transparency and alignment
• Serve as a central point of contact between senior leadership and the technology department, ensuring seamless coordination and for cross-department work
• Create workback plans, program management, and other key tracking mechanisms for key organization-wide initiatives
• Help maintain a mature reporting dashboard to monitor technology portfolio health, projects, vendors, and financials

Support Finance & Resource Management
• Aid in resource allocation, financial planning, budget forecasting, and other key planning activities for the department
• Assist in managing technology contracts by helping with the review and renegotiation processes to optimize existing agreements, mitigate risks, and enhance value

Coordinate Organization Communication, Collaboration, and Development
• Collaborate with the People Team on organizational development and talent planning
• Work with Corporate Communications for department-wide communications
• Coordinate and assist in organizing Leadership Team onsite and offsite events
• Utilize data-driven insights to help assess business performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and mitigate potential risks
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team

What You Will Need
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• MBA preferred but not required
• 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting or finance with a strong understanding of technology systems, infrastructure, and software development processes
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of successfully assisting in executing technology initiatives aligned with business objectives
• Proven ability to support the optimization of operational processes within technology departments, streamlining workflows, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
• Deep understanding of current and emerging project, program, and portfolio management best practices
• Proven experience in strategic planning and business analysis, preferably within the entertainment, media, or creative industries
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate future trends and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and growth
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to deal with ambiguity to solve complex, new opportunities for UTA and the Technology organization
