Job Description
At UTA, we are actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join our top-notch corporate accounting team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented accountant, and has high attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to excel in a fast-paced work environment on a high-volume desk.
The role will pay an annual base salary of $90,000 - $100,000
What Will You Do:
• Prepare journal entries complete with necessary supporting documentation and schedules
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and promptly resolve issues
• Coordinate and request banking transactions with support documentation and approvals
• Evaluate accounts to appropriately determine month end accruals and estimates
• Assist with annual financial statement audit requests
• Assist with reviewing and improving general process documentation
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, as requested
• Assist with special projects, as needed
What Will You Bring:
• 5+ years of general accounting experience
• Big 4 or other national public accounting firm experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or working towards CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
• Entertainment or media industry experience preferred
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel including VLookup and pivot tables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and must have strong problem solving skills
• An analytical mind who works in an organized manner with high attention to detail
• Experience with financial & enterprise systems and prior experience with general ledger entries.
• High-energy level and a strong pro-active work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrate ability to create processes and procedures while working in a very fast-paced environment
